Many aesthetic movements vied for the attention of rich and poor alike. We will explore the nuances of these movements and their interrelationships through art, literature, and music, revealing the origins of the Russian Revolution and the immense, often opposing cultural forces that brought it about. Blood Emergency: All-Day Blood Drive in Pleasantville April 23 @ Pleasantville High School Gym Tickets
Apr 23 @ 9:00 am – 9:00 pm
Blood Emergency: All-Day Blood Drive in Pleasantville April 23 @ Pleasantville High School Gym | | |

The winter season has taken a toll on blood donations due to cancelled drives, lost utilities, donors unable to travel, etc., and a blood emergency declared in March is still currently in effect as supplies are still dangerously low. As we head into summer, it is important to get blood donations up again as they will rapidly fall off from June until August when people have busier schedules. There is an unending need for blood, and supplies need to be constantly replenished. The Greater Metropolitan Area alone requires 2,000+ units of blood products daily to meet just normal needs.

The Pleasantville High School and the Pleasantville Volunteer Ambulance Corps have once again teamed up to sponsor an All-Day Blood Drive on Monday, April 23 from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm at the Pleasantville High School on 60 Romer Avenue. Both whole blood and red cells units will be collected from qualifying candidates. Although this drive makes it convenient for Pleasantville residents to participate, blood donors from all towns are welcome to come to lend their help.

For questions regarding eligibility (travel, medications, etc), call (800) 688-0900.
To schedule an appointment to donate, call (800) 933-2566 or register on-line at www.nybloodcenter.org. Although it is helpful to let the organizers know in advance that you plan to come, walk-ins are always accepted.
