NEW- NBA Legend’s Rick Barry Basketball School
Rick Barry Basketball School, a breakthrough comprehensive basketball and child development program designed for boys and girls ages 5-9, has selected the Mead School Stamford as a premier site. Barry, NBA Hall of Famer and top 50 basketball player of all time, teamed with Future Stars Basketball and USA Today’s Most Caring Coach Jim Olayos to create this unique camp. The program utilizes lower baskets, a smaller ball and stresses fundamentals. Stamford begins December 9th and runs 7 Saturdays.

First Night Westport-Weston invites all Fairfield County and visitors to the region’s largest, annual New Year’s Eve celebration, in downtown Westport December 31, 2017. Beginning at 3:30PM, First Night ushers in New Year’s with a variety of family-friendly activities in a joyous celebration of arts and culture including an array of musical performances; interactive children’s fun with sing-alongs, horse carriage rides, train displays, an indoor inflatable gym, magic, a hypnotist, psychics and more; spectacular fireworks. A First Night button is the ticket to all performances and venues, on sale now for $10 online, at Westport Town Hall and other locations around town. Tinkergarten – Free Trial

At Tinkergarten, families meet outdoors to connect and learn through play. In this free trial, Tinkergarten Leader, Donna Soszynski, will facilitate an expert-designed play scenario, allowing children of various ages and needs to explore, problem solve, communicate, collaborate, and create together.

Now a wonderful annual tradition! Come birding with Charlie Roberto, starting 9:00 am at the Croton boat ramp and then driving into Croton Point Park, parking and doing some more birding. Eagles expected! Co-sponsored with Teatown Lake Reservation. Best for adults and youth at least 8 years and older. Birding inside the park involves moderate walking including slopes. Dress warmly! Learn to Play Bridge At The Somers Library

Always wanted to play bridge? Here is your chance! These classes are for both beginners and players with some experience. Bridge maven Walter Heitner will help you navigate your way around the game. Covered will be the mechanics of the game, bidding basics and how to work on the play of the hand. By working with a group, you will all become better players together! Space is limited.
