Have Fun- Raising for a Great Cause
Invest in our children and youth as you dine and dance through the night. Come out to the National Council of Negro Women-Westchester Section’s Masquerade Ball on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 6:00 pm at the Stone Manor in Hawthorne, NY. Donations are $100 per person. Proceeds from this event will be used for a college fair and for programs that encourage children and youth to achieve excellence.
The Westchester Section of the National Council of Negro Women sponsors their first annual Masquerade Ball. Section President, Juel Hodge, says this Masquerade Ball promises to be a night of fun, fellowship and fantasy. Come dressed to impress, formal attire. The festivities will include a plated dinner, wine and an auction. Music will be provided by “DJ Mr. Briggs” so wear your dancing shoes. More specifically, the monies raised will be used for a college fair, donations to a domestic violence shelter and an incentive program to recognize the excellence of our children in academics, sports, the arts and community service.
The National Council of Negro Women (NCNW) is a coalition comprised of 200 community-based sections in 32 states and 38 national organizational affiliates that work to enlighten and inspire more than 3,000,000 women and men. Founded in 1935 by Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune and led by Dr. Dorothy I. Height for over 50 years, NCNW continues to pursue its mission to advocate for and empower women of African descent and their families and communities.
