Nunsense is a hilarious talent show staged by five survivors at the Little Sisters of Hoboken nunnery, the rest of the sisterhood having succumbed to botulism after eating vichyssoise prepared by Sister Julia, Child of God. The remaining ensemble parade their talents at a variety show staged to raise funds so that the last four of the dearly departed can be buried.
Nunsense begins when the Little Sisters of Hoboken discover that their cook, Sister Julia, Child of God, has accidentally poisoned 52 of the sisters, and they are in dire need of funds for the burials. The sisters decide that the best way to raise the money is to put on a variety show, so they take over the school auditorium, which is currently set up for the eighth grade production of “Grease.” Here we meet Reverend Mother Regina, a former circus performer; Sister Mary Hubert, the Mistress of Novices; a streetwise nun from Brooklyn named Sister Robert Anne; Sister Mary Leo, a novice who is a wannabe ballerina; and the delightfully wacky Sister Mary Amnesia, the nun who lost her memory when a crucifix fell on her head.
Performances: April 27-29, May 4-6 & May 11-13
Friday & Saturday @8pm / Sundays @ 2pm

Relay for Life of Yorktown lead event volunteer, Kristina Iennaco, is partnering with the Paramount and Roger Paul Inc. to put on a comedy night fundraiser. This night is going to be a night that cancer can’t take away from us!
The inspiration for hosting a large comedy night fundraiser began several years ago when Iennaco’s Aunt Carol Kinghan was diagnosed with stage IV colon cancer. As a way to be a part of her fight, Iennaco along with her sister Stefanie and mother Donna, joined Relay for Life of Yorktown. After 5 years of participating in Relay for Life & raising over $25,000 for the cause, Iennaco decided now was the time to go even bigger. After quickly settling on the idea of hosting a comedy night- she got to work.
Iennaco and the Paramount began their partnership in the fall of 2017 with excitement of the opportunities that could come from joining forces. In March of 2018, Iennaco teamed up with Roger Paul Inc to bring together comedians that could not only draw a crowd, but who are connected to the cause. In addition to the three comedians booked with Roger Paul Inc; Caitlin Peluffo, Kevin Brown and Mark “Jiggy” Jigargian; local comedian John Iavarone, a caregiver, joined the lineup in honor of his sister Angelina who passed away from breast cancer.
The “Comedians for a Cure” benefit will take place on Sunday, May 20, 2018. Ticket prices will range from $25-$75 and all proceeds will benefit Relay for Life of Yorktown. Through 50/50 and other raffle prizes, volunteers will raise additional money throughout the event.
Funds raised will go toward local programs for cancer patients and cancer research funded by the American Cancer Society. To learn more about the wide range of programs, 24/7 support and current cancer research, please visit www.cancer.org.

Lisa Lampanelli became a household name when she joined 17 other celebrities on the fifth season of the NBC’s “Celebrity Apprentice”, where she advanced to the final four in the competition, raising $130,000 for her chosen charity. She also starred as a regular on “Bounty Hunters,” CMT’s first-ever animated series, and guest-starred on a hilarious episode of the CBS’s “2 Broke Girls.”
Lampanelli’s rise to the top of the comedy food chain began in 2002 when she was the only female comedian invited to skewer Chevy Chase on the NY Friars Club Comedy Central Roast. She soon became known as the “Queen of the Roasts,” going on to lambaste such names as Pamela Anderson, Jeff Foxworthy, William Shatner, Flava Flav, David Hasselhoff, and, most recently Donald Trump. Due to her success as a roaster, in 2009, Lisa was asked to serve as Roastmaster for the highly rated Comedy Central Roast of friend and fellow comic, Larry the Cable Guy.
The good times kept on going as she released her HBO comedy special, “Long Live the Queen,” and her autobiography, Chocolate Please: My Adventures in Food, Fat and Freaks (Harper Collins). The Connecticut native shot her fifth stand-up special, “Back to the Drawing Board,” which premiered June 2015 in EPIX and was nominated for a 2015 Grammy Award for “Best Comedy Album.” The special shoed off her radically different look after having lost more than 100 pounds. That weight loss, which she has maintained for over four years, inspired her to write her play, “Stuffed,” since having been every size from 2 to 26, she has firsthand knowledge of the food and body-image struggle.
When Lampanelli debuted the first verison of “Stuffed” in fall 2016 at the WP Theatre, the New York Times said: “Stuffed offers laughs, and even a bit of insight….Lampanelli’s strongest, funniest and more affecting work” and the Hollywood Reporter echoed their sentiments, calling the play “very funny and affecting.”
